I am a qualified Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist living in Sandy, Bedfordshire. I qualified with Sports Therapy UK, gaining my accredited Level 3 qualification with VTCT. My qualification has enabled me to work full time as a Sports Massage Therapist doing what I love most – helping people.
Having been a competing gymnast for many years, I was forced to step down at the age of 16 due to being diagnosed with Scoliosis and Kyphosis; conditions that occur during development resulting in a curvature of the spine. This led me to undergo several major spinal surgeries that left me with metal implants in my back and long recovery. This meant that I was no longer able to train as a gymnast, I therefore focussed my development in coaching gymnastics instead.
Having spent so long recovering I began to learn about anatomy and gained an understanding of the body and an appreciation for how it works. This ultimately lead me to where I am today; a qualified Sports Massage Therapist.
I strive to further my career by moving onto my Level 5 qualification in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation which I hope to achieve by gaining hands on experience and practical learning with real clients and real issues.
